Our new apartment...North Harbor Tower

We moved in to our new apartment on Wednesday, June 22nd.  It still sort of feels like we're on vacation here...just hanging out.  I'm sure that will change once we're both working.  We're definitely enjoying it for now though!

First picture taken from our apartment...our view from the living room windows.

John's parents helped us move in to our new apartment (my parents helped us move out of the old one).  Thanks in huge part to them (especially his mom, Kathy) almost everything was organized by the time they left on Thursday!  I was very impressed and really thankful for all their help.  We celebrated by going out to dinner on Navy Pier on Wednesday evening...where we got to see the fireworks.  What a great "welcome to Chicago" moment!

The MetLife blimp flew by our window one day!  It was out for the Taste of Chicago.
Navy Pier's Saturday fireworks.  We can see about 75% of them from our living room window.

So, we're pretty much settled in!  We have a few more pictures to hang on the walls...if we can decide where to hang them...and we definitely need curtains for our bedroom.  (Oh, and our dining room table back from my parents!)  We have room for an air mattress on the living room floor...and the couch is really comfy! :)
