Kelvin is 18 months old (+ a little over a week)! Once again, he has grown so much...though his likes and dislikes haven't changed too much. He still loves eating, music and dancing, daycare, Daniel Tiger, and his bunny. He is also quite a talker and has added over 25 words to his vocabulary in the past 3 months, including oh no, bye bye, yeah, yes, no, train, owl, upstairs, and blanket. He developed a love of trains while we visited my parents during the holidays and now loves pointing out and watching the CTA trains as we walk by the tracks in our neighborhood. He also really enjoys closing doors and, recently, locking them.
Kelvin definitely lets us know when he's not happy with something but gets over it pretty quickly. He doesn't like to sit still for too long but will play contentedly by himself for quite awhile.
John converted Kelvin's crib into a toddler bed right on his 18 month birthday. Kelvin is so excited to have a big bed like Ada. Bedtime is a little trickier now but he's getting the hang of laying down so his blanket can be put on him. The biggest problem is actually in the morning as both kids can get out of their room now. When Ada transitioned into her toddler bed, we had a gate on the door so she couldn't get out...but now Ada needs to be able to get out to go to the bathroom so Kelvin can get out too if she leaves the door open. We're working on it...
Mr. Kelvin, you make us smile, laugh, and love you more each and every day. I hope you'll keep your sweet, easygoing manner forever! We love you!!
